Oktoberfest (September – early October) - This Bavarian celebration takes place every year in Munich and it is the biggest public festival anywhere in the world. Traditional costume, food and beer are essential components.

Christmas Fairs (November-December) – Throughout Germany there are renowned Christmas Fairs selling traditional food, drink and Christmas gifts. The most famous are found in Munich, Berlin, Frankfurt and Nuremburg.
